We are not a trader and we hold no fuel stock. You contract with the supplier and pay the supplier directly. Our job is to handle the whole arrangement and secure the best rate the market will give.

  • Representative samples drawn and sealed at the manifold

How it works

From your bunker plan to the supplier's invoice

  1. Plan

    Share your fleet's bunker plan, or a single stem: vessel, port, ETA, grade and quantity.

  2. Consolidate

    We pool your requirement with other fleets and use AI to compare offers from trusted suppliers.

  3. Decide

    You receive the best rate we secured. Nominate our agreed supplier, or any other trader you prefer.

  4. Deliver

    We handle the arrangement and, once you appoint them, the bunker surveyor and sampling.

  5. Close

    The supplier invoices you and you pay them directly. We follow up the laboratory results with you.

Subscription

One annual subscription. Simple fees per supply.

USD 1,000 for each fuel stem and USD 500 for each lube supply. Your USD 10,000 subscription covers 10 fuel stems, 20 lube supplies, or any mix of the two.

Issued by the supplier or trading house directly to you. You pay them directly.

Cancel anytime

Cancel whenever you wish. We refund any unused balance, counting USD 1,000 per fuel stem and USD 500 per lube supply already handled.

What USD 5 per tonne means for your fleet

Adjust the figures to your fleet. The default is a 5-vessel owner saving USD 5 per metric tonne. The saving per tonne is an assumption for illustration, not a guaranteed result. Lube oil savings are left out, so the figures are conservative.

Atlas Lubes

Large-fleet lube prices for smaller fleets

Owners with a small fleet usually pay list price and remote-port surcharges. Atlas Lubes pools the volume of many fleets into one annual agreement and passes the same price on to each subscriber.

You share your port list and estimated annual volume. The lube supplier invoices you directly at the pooled rate. Each lube supply costs USD 500 under your subscription, half the fee of a fuel stem.

Questions owners and managers ask us

Are you a bunker supplier or a trader?

No. Atlas Bunkering is a handling service. We do not hold fuel stock, take trading positions or take ownership of the fuel. We arrange the supply on your behalf with suppliers and traders we trust.

Who invoices me for the fuel and the lube oil?

The supplier or trading house invoices you directly, and you pay them directly. Your money for fuel and lubes never passes through us.

How does Atlas Bunkering earn money?

Only through the handling fee in your subscription: USD 1,000 per fuel stem and USD 500 per lube supply. You receive the same rate we secure from the supplier.

What does the USD 10,000 annual subscription include?

It covers 10 fuel stems, 20 lube supplies, or any mix of the two. For example, 6 fuel stems and 8 lube supplies use exactly USD 10,000.

What happens when my subscription balance is used?

How do you choose your suppliers and traders?

We work only with suppliers and traders we trust, based on their delivery record, product quality and conduct. We do not deal with anyone we do not trust, because careful selection is the best way to avoid problems after delivery.

How do you use AI?

We use AI to track offers, port price differences and supplier performance across the market. This lets us compare options quickly and identify the best rate for each stem.

Should I appoint a bunker surveyor?

We strongly recommend it for every bunkering operation. The surveyor witnesses the delivery and the sampling, and the samples should be sent to an accredited laboratory for testing against ISO 8217. We can arrange both for you.

Which fuel grades and lube oils can you handle?

Fuel: VLSFO, HSFO for vessels with scrubbers, ULSFO, MGO/DMA and biofuel blends on request. Lubes: cylinder oils, system oils, trunk piston engine oils, hydraulic, gear, compressor and turbine oils.

In which ports can you arrange supplies?

We work worldwide. Send us the port and dates, and we will confirm the options available there.

What do you need from me to start?

For a single stem: vessel name and IMO number, port, ETA, grade and quantity. For the best prices, share your fleet's bunker plan, whether your fleet is small or large.

Can you combine bunkering with crew changes and spares?

Yes. Together with Atlas Onboard, our group company, we can coordinate bunkers, lubes, crew changes and spares delivery at the same port call.
